Test portable RCD's without tripping your fixed

Testing portable RCD's without an isolation transformer is almost impossible. Our Isolation Transformers provide an excellent remedy to this problem, isolating the portable RCD from the buildings fixed wiring.

The issue

When testing a portable RCD without an isolation transformer, it is highly likely that rather than tripping the portable RCD during the test, the RCD tester will trip the buildings fixed RCD in error. Not only will this void the test, it will also cut off power supply to your room, or worse still, the whole building. This can be not only frustrating to colleagues, but costly and perhaps dangerous.

The remedy

Our isolation transformers isolate the portable RCD being tested from the mains/power supply elminating any test current from travelling any further than the transformer.
